Privacy
Privacy, in plain English.
Last updated: April 19, 2026. This page covers catchtheghost.com, the marketing website. The iOS app's privacy story lives on its App Store listing and in the app itself.
What this website collects
catchtheghost.com is a static site served through AWS CloudFront. Standard CloudFront access logs record the IP address, user agent, and requested URL for every page view. These logs are retained briefly for operational purposes (debugging, caching, abuse monitoring) and are not used for advertising, profiling, or sale to third parties.
Beyond that, we collect nothing. No analytics provider, no Google Analytics, no Facebook pixel, no Hotjar, no Segment, no heatmap tool. No cookies are set by our own code. No local storage is written. No fingerprinting.
Third-party assets
We do not embed third-party tracking scripts. Outbound links to external sites (the App Store, Aeeiee.com) use standard HTTP; we do not set any analytics parameters on those URLs. The App Store's own listing is subject to Apple's privacy policy.
If you email us, we will have your email address and whatever you wrote. We retain it for as long as is reasonable to answer your message and for basic customer-support records. We do not add you to any marketing list based on a support email.
The iOS app
The Catch the Ghost iOS app has its own privacy statement, which you can view on the App Store listing. The app collects what it needs to run (your focus-session data, ghost collection, coin balance, streak) and synchronizes it with our servers so that it persists across devices and reinstalls. See the App Store listing for the full detail.
Changes to this policy
If we change how the marketing site collects data, we will update the "Last updated" date above and describe what changed. If we ever add analytics, we will say so explicitly and give you the option to opt out. We do not currently plan to.
