We make the next 25 minutes worth more than the next swipe. Put your phone down for one Deep Focus session and a chapter from history paints itself in while you work, from Seneca to Ada Lovelace. Finish and it's yours: 25 minutes or more the scroll didn't get.

Catch the Ghost is a Pomodoro timer for iPhone and Android that pays you in history. Start a Deep Focus session of 25 to 120 minutes, and a picture forms dot by dot while you work: a quote, a story or an image from someone's life. Finish and the chapter joins your collection. Quit early and it gets away. Every ghost is a life told in order, and catching the last chapter completes their story.
Each catch also pays coins and XP. Streaks multiply them up to 3x, and the weekly leaderboard pays its top three. Focus Together puts up to 8 people in one room on the same timer, and everyone who finishes earns double when two or more finish. Shallow Focus covers lighter work from 10 minutes and keeps your streak going.
All of this is free, and so is the Store, where the coins you earn buy themed ghost packs like Great Strategists. Pro adds Legendary ghosts, the Sleep Timer, the Ghost Universe and Full History.

The library holds 800+ ghosts and 7,800+ chapters, from Nefertari to Emerson, and every one is curated by humans. The older ghosts keep getting better: quotes traced to their sources, stronger images swapped in. Every image in the app shows where it came from.
