The coin economy is not a gimmick. It's the core loop.
Every focus session earns coins. Spend them in the in-app Store on themed ghost packs (Great Strategists, Actors, Famous Japanese, Great Authors, and more arriving every month), on Auto Streak Recovery if you ever lose a day, or on 5-minute Grace Period extensions during Deep Focus (200 coins each, up to three per session) when you need to step away. Keep your streak and the coins keep coming. Every premium content item is earnable by focusing, not just purchasable.
If you'd rather skip ahead, coin packs are available as one-time in-app purchases at $0.99, $4.99, and $9.99. Not a subscription, not a recurring charge.

Is the Lifetime tier available now?
Not quite yet. It is launching soon at the founding-member price of $99.99. The price will rise after the founding-member window closes. When the tier goes live, the purchase will happen inside the iOS app through Apple.
Can I really use the app for free?
Yes. The core product is free, streak or no streak. Every focus session earns coins that buy ghost packs in the in-app Store, and keeping your streak earns you more coins per session, so the Store is reachable by focusing. Premium tiers are for Pro-only content like Legendary Ghosts, the Sleep Timer, and the Ghost Universe, not for access to the core product.
What happens if I cancel?
You keep Pro access through the end of your paid period, then revert to Free. All the ghosts you already caught stay with you. Coins stay with you. Your streak stays with you. Nothing is taken away.
What are coin packs?
Coin packs are optional one-time purchases if you want coins faster than your focus sessions are earning them. They are Apple in-app purchases at $0.99, $4.99, and $9.99 tiers for 1,000, 5,000, and 10,000 coins respectively. They are not a subscription.
Will my price go up?
Not for existing subscribers. If we raise prices for new users, your tier stays grandfathered at the price you signed up for. This is explicit.
How do I cancel?
Through the iOS Settings app: your Apple ID, then Subscriptions, then Catch the Ghost, then Cancel. One tap, no retention-survey wall. We do not see or slow down the cancellation.
